Trad Hospital, located in the center of Beirut, Lebanon, is a full-service community hospital founded in 1939 by Dr. Fouad Trad. Under the leadership of his son, the late Dr. Sami Trad, it has undergone major expansions and is now a 70-bed facility offering a variety of diagnostic and clinical services. The hospital is widely recognized in Lebanon for its high-quality care in a patient friendly environment.
Trad Hospital is financially independent, debt-free and does not receive outside support from any organization or religious institution.

The Board
Dr. Fouad Trad

Dr. Fouad Trad

Born in Beirut in 1960, Dr. Fouad Trad received his medical degree from the American University of Beirut where he completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He pursued further specialty training in Kiel, Germany, the University of Arizona and the University of Vermont in the USA, followed by a two year fellowship at Harvard University Hospitals in Boston. He is US Board Certified in OBGYN and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Fouad Trad currently manages Trad Hospital in addition to his OBGYN practice.

Dr. Karim Trad

Dr. Karim Trad

Born in Beirut in 1961, Dr. Karim Trad is a General and Bariatric Surgeon established in the Washington, D.C. area. He received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, completed a surgery residency at the George Washington University and a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, OH. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and an Associate Professor of Surgery at the Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Rachad Assaf

Mr. Rachad Assaf

Originally from Toula in the North of Lebanon, Mr. Assaf was born at Trad Hospital in 1974. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Finance from the Université Saint Joseph (USJ) in Beirut and an Executive Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Quebec in Montreal, Canada. He joined Trad Hospital in 2000 and currently serves as its Chief Financial Officer and General Manager.
